This year I have decided to dive into nature and embrace all the wisdom and peace within in. I have a hole in me that needs to be filled and I've tried to fill it with God, booze, Netflix, basically anything I could, but it never seems to bring me comfort. I struggle with anxiety and depression and I have tried drug treatments, but I know that there is something out there that can bring me ease naturally.

Though you shouldn't always trust every article you see on Facebook, I recently read an article about hiking (here) where even just 90 minutes outside during a nature walk can decrease blood flow to a certain area of the PFC. When there is excessive blood flow to this region it is associated with worrying, depression, and bad moods. Hiking also is just good exercise and improves focus (which is a big problem right now for me). If an activity so easy as walking on a path, looking at the Earth's wonders can greatly improve your mood and health, why not try it?!

Since I can only find positive aspects of nature I have decided to make it a large part of my life to take away the stress of everyday life. I am going in with a clear mind, I am not going to expect crazy transformations immediately, I am going to take this adventure step-by-step and let nature's wonders work on me in whatever way they choose.
